I was the 2024 MVP at the Golden Nations League in Sarajevo and four-time paralympic medalist, I try to inspire athletes with disabilities everywhere, encouraging them to pursue sports and push boundaries. I don’t see disabilities as a barrier to achieving one’s goals because it takes immense courage to put oneself in highly competitive environments and face the challenges that sitting volleyball requires, not just physically but mentally as well.
According to one of Mirzet’s coaches, “He makes a big difference on the field, both with his quality and authority among other players. Both the opposing players and the audience respect him because of the way he treats everyone, from the opposing players and referees to the children who grab the balls and grind the field.”
This very much aligns with my goal of leaving a positive impression on everyone to show that someone with a disability should not be rejected, but on the contrary, everyone should be motivated by their successes.
